More Than Trivia Night

New Heights' World Historic Non-trivia Nights isn't your typical pub quiz. It's a carefully crafted experience where college-level history presentations meet artisanal cuisine, local craft beer, and genuine community impact.

Every event at New Heights Brewery benefits Fort Negley, Nashville's historic Civil War site, through a partnership with Friends of Fort Negley. 10% of all ticket sales go directly to the park.

Our purpose: To stimulate the public mind, satisfy the public tummy, and support the public parks.

Teams of 2-6 compete through an engaging 75-minute presentation with embedded trivia questions. No phones or computers allowed—just good old-fashioned knowledge, teamwork, and a dash of luck in the final "Cornucopia Whole" game.

How It Works

From arrival to prizes, here's what your evening looks like.

1

Arrive & Settle In (6:30–7pm)

Receive your two beer tickets at the door. Sample beers at the bar to find your favorite, then choose your team's table (first come, first serve). Small bites arrive at your table shortly after.

2

Learn & Answer (7–8:15pm)

Professor William Harwood leads a fascinating 75-minute presentation. Multiple-choice questions are embedded throughout—your team answers using ASL hand signs (A, B, C, or D). Scores are tracked in real-time on our whiteboard. No phones or computers allowed!

3

Main Meal (8:15–9:15pm)

After the presentation, enjoy the main course prepared by our food truck chefs in compostable packaging—eat at your table or take it home. Watch the "Chef Cam" during the event to see your meal being prepared!

4

Play Cornucopia Whole (8:30–9:15pm)

While enjoying your meal, watch each team toss bean bags at the cornhole board. The number of bags your team gets equals your correct answers plus one "participation" bag. Score: 5 points for the cornucopia hole, 3 for staying on board, 2 for touching, 1 for floor. Highest total wins!

5

Take Home Your Prizes (9:15pm+)

Everyone leaves with a GAAPPPP Prize Packet—swag, coupons, leftover bites, and New Heights beer coupons. The winning team gets the Grand Packet with the best goodies. Stick around for more beers and great conversation!
